Yakuza 6: The Song Of Life Removed From The PS Store

February 28, 2018 by Jordan Coetsee

An exploit had been found which allowed players to unlock the full game.

It seems the absurd download size (36GB) for Yakuza 6: The Song of Life was for a reason after all – Sony has removed the title from the PlayStation store as an exploit had been found which allows players to unlock the full game.

Sega took to Twitter to explain the issue:

“We apologize, but have had to remove the Yakuza 6: The Song of Life demo from the PlayStation Store,” the developer/publisher wrote. “We are as upset as you are, and had hoped to have this demo available for everyone today. We discovered that some were able to use the demo to unlock the full game. We’re looking into the nature of the issue. Thank you for your patience.”

Yakuza 6 isn’t due out for another two months – so hopefully Sega will end up release a more chewable demo for fans to get their hands on before the title officially launches in April. Yakuza 6 originally released back in December for the Japanese market, the delayed western release is generally the norm for Japanse publishers.

Thoughts on the demo? Let us know in the comments down below.
