BattleBlock Theater Dev Teases DLC Plans

April 16, 2013 by Ian Miles Cheong

Not levels, but weapons.

The makers of BattleBlock Theater, otherwise known as The Behemoth, have shared some details about their DLC plans for the game with us.

Speaking in an interview with our very own Holly Green, BattleBlock Theater Lead Level Designer Aaron Jungjohann stated that the developers are going to do DLC, but that it "probably" won't be in the form of any straight level packs, as many are expecting.

"I can tell you what it probably won't be. We're probably not going to do any straight level packs," said Jungjohann. "What you might see instead is new weapons, maybe new levels based around using those weapons."

"[Lead Artist] Dan [Paladin] has talked about new art packs, something that would cosmetically change the way the whole game looks–maybe instead of being in a theater, you're in an ice cream palace, or a circus tent– something to make the game even more fun and crazy, a reflavoring so to speak. I think that's the more likely thing."

The rest of the interview can be found here.

BattleBlock Theater is currently available on the Xbox Live Arcade.
