Bethesda have released a video on Twitter's Vine application which may hint at a new Fallout.
The footage begins with what appears to be swirling barbed wire before moving to a screen reminiscent of a Fallout loading screen, which as the players of the series will know, is a reel from an old film usually saying "Please Stand By".
In this instance it appears to be a Johann Strauss Bach suite on an old music record and then the footage cuts to a white screen on a wall. This is followed by a track from the Moonbeam Trio.
You can listen to the Bach piece here, which is an Air on the G string, and Bill Evans and the Moonbeam Trio's recordings here. This wouldn't be the first time a Fallout game has included a classical music edge, Fallout 3 players may be familiar with the miscellaneous quest in which gamers were tasked with repairing a Stradivarius violin.
Bethesda have confirmed that they'll be making some major announcements this year and a new entry in the Fallout series seems very likely, the publisher's marketing vice-president, Pete Hines, said "I think you'll hear us making considerably more noise this year than we did last year. I think when we get the chance to show you guys what we're up to, that you'll sit up and take notice."
Seperately Bethesda have announced that they've "moved on" from Skyrim. With this teaser and the quotes from Hines it looks like Fallout 4 could be just around the corner, likely for PC and next generation consoles.
Thanks to Joao Portugal Vieira for the musical pointers.
