After a few days of unplanned leaks and appearances in the news, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is finally available for pre-order on Steam.
The game is described as "THE Kick-Ass Cyber Shooter" in which players enter an 80's vision of the future. The year is 2007 and you're a cyber commando named Sergeant Rex Colt. Your mission's to get the girl, kill the bad guys, and save the world. A bit like the TV series Heroes, but with a better storyline and with no superpowers.
It's a game where you'll "experience every cliché of a VHS-era vision of the nuclear future, where cyborgs, blood dragons, mutants" collide. Michael Biehn, star of Terminator and Aliens voices the role of the main character.
As a standalone game, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon does not require a copy of Far Cry 3 so you can pick it up at your leisure and not worry about experiencing Jeffrey Yohalem's "satirical" take on the FPS genre.
It's out on May 2 and costs $14.99. Pre-orders will receive the soundtrack for free.
