Koei Tecmo has just released a new patch for the PS4 version of their open-world hack and slash, Dynasty Warriors 9. While previously only available for PS4 Pro gamers, the new update adds a two different modes to be selected. One of the modes prioritizes the framerate in expense of the resolution, while the other mode pushes resolution at the expense of framerate.
Considering how poorly the game was received with all it’s performance issues, this new option will hopefully make the game a slightly better experience before Koei Tecmo starts dropping larger updates. Koei Tecmo has confirmed that it is looking for similar fixes for the PC and Xbox One versions of the game, too.
Check out the patch notes down below:
– Added “Graphics” settings that enable the frame rate to be stabilized on systems other than a PlayStation 4 Pro console.
– Improved the frame rate.
– Implemented corrections that prevented an issue in which the ending movie would not be played and clearing the game was impossible during the endings for some officers.
– Corrected a number of other minor issues.
Dynasty Warriors 9 is available now on PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
