Bethesda has released the 1.9 Skyrim update for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game. The patch has been available for the PC version of the game for some time now and is only just now available for the game's counterparts on the console.
The update brings some much requested bug fixes for the game with improvements to the game's memory and stability. It also makes it so that player companions will equip the best items you give them so they'll be able to take a harder beating from opponents and dish out some pain along with the player character.
The biggest enhancement in the 1.9 update is the addition of the new Legendary difficulty setting, and Legendary skills, which allow players to make skills of 100 "Legendary", resetting it to 15 and returning its Perks and allow the skill to affect leveling once more. The change effectively removes the overall level cap.
Full patch notes can be found on the game's official website here.
To download the patch, simply boot up your Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 and start the game and the updater should handle the rest.
