Horizon Zero Dawn launched last year to massive critical acclaim. Fans were fascinated by the prehistoric environment filled with mysterious prehistoric dinosaurs – where did they come from? Why is this game in the future but in the past? Guerilla Games took this element of complete mystery to craft an intriguing game which resonated with fans across the globe.
Now, a year after it launches the game continues to win awards – with the latest being an outstanding achievement in video game writing from the Writers Guild Awards.

The Writers Guild Awards have been running since 1949, providing achievements to prolific writers across generations. This is an amazing achievement for Guerilla Games as it places the studio in the same regard as Naughty Dog’s widely successful The Last of Us and Uncharted 4. We expect to see great things from Guerilla Games in the future!
In a lush, post-apocalyptic world where nature has reclaimed the ruins of a forgotten civilization, pockets of humanity live on in primitive hunter-gatherer tribes. Their dominion over the new wilderness has been usurped by the Machines – fearsome mechanical creatures of unknown origin.
Horizon Zero Dawn is out now exclusive to PS4. Thoughts on this prestigious achievement? Let us know in the comments below.
