Overwatch Update Allows You To Switch Skins Before Matches

February 8, 2018 by Jordan Coetsee

It launches today!

Blizzard

For those who are a bit too indecisive when it comes to Overwatch skins, Blizzard will be calming your neurosis with this latest update which allows you to switch skins before a match begins.

Fashion-forward heroes, rejoice! 👏 👏

Overwatch’s Twitter account shared a short clip on their page, depicting the new functionality. As you can see in the video, a little tab will now appear in the top right-hand corner which will showcase whatever skins the player owns and allow them to equip it before a match. Players should not though, that skins will not be able to be changed while you are in a match.

The functionality goes live today along with the Year of the Dog event. A new Capture the Flag map set in Thailand along with changes to the mode are also in store. If you weren’t hyped up enough Six new Legendary skins exclusive to the event will also be added.

‘The Future Is Now. Are You With Us?
Join the ranks of a legendary force of soldiers, scientists, adventurers, and oddities known as Overwatch. Choose your hero and clash on the battlefields of tomorrow. Bend time, defy
physics, and wield extraordinary powers in the ultimate team-based shooter. The fight for the future has begun. Take your place in Overwatch.’

Overwatch is out now for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
