Deus Ex: Human Revolution is getting an upgraded release—or "Director's Cut" on the Wii U, offering full support for the Wii U Gamepad, a reworking of the game's abysmal and widely criticized boss fights, and a whole lot more.
The boss fights, which were notorious for fitting poorly in with the rest of the game, have been redesigned and revamped in-house at Eidos Montreal.
Among other things, the new version of the game will see numerous tweaks to the game's combat and energy usage—two batteries will recharge, instead of one, so players will find more use out of their skills without having to consume energy bars like a perpetually hungry man on the battlefield.
Unfortunately, the improvements to the game will be limited to the Wii U version of Deus Ex and will not be making the cross over to the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 or PC versions of the game (via PAR). At least, there's no plans to do so—yet.
It's a pity, because if there's one thing stopping most people from replaying the game more than once, it's all of those pesky issues that they're fixing in the so-called Director's Cut.
