Capcom has released new information about the upcoming expansion for Dragon's Dogma today. Titled Dark Arisen, the full fledged expansion pack comes with the original title with a host of updates improving upon all of the game's aspects while bolstering it with new content.

The new info drop reveals that the land in which Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen takes place, Bitterblack Isle, is home to lithographs and epitaphs scattered all throughout.

The purpose of these stone tablets is to enlighten the player with the events that befell Bitterblack Isle before the player's arrival. Upon visiting these monuments, the player character will have a sensation of the memories contained within and the mystery of the island will slowly unravel.

Your character will also gain experience points for visiting these locations.

Additionally, the official Japanese site for Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen has put out a novella to prepare players unfamiliar with the title.
