Nintendo has been performing considerably well since the launch of it’s hybrid console the Switch last year. Super Mario World hit 3 million sales over the course of a weekend, Breath of The Wild was the 3rd best selling game on Amazon during last year, and now we have news that Monolith’s RPG, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 has just surpassed 1 million sales worldwide.
This means that Xenoblade Chronicles 2 has officially become the best selling game in the series.
What this also indicates is the popularity of Japanese games across the globe with Xenoblade Chronicles 2 being one of the several niche franchises to make it into mainstream success.
With the success comes more capital for Monolith to make use of, it will be interesting to see what the studio has in store for players.
In other Xenoblade News, the latest title is set to receive a new game+ mode soon.
‘Monolith Soft’s widely acclaimed RPG, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is set to receive a new game + mode with the next patch for the title. In the Japanese notes blog, Company head Tetsuya Takahashi announced the news to gamers. The patch is also set to fix a synchronization display error that was introduced unexpectedly in 1.2.0. ‘
