Those of you familiar with Skyrim will recall that much of the game's environment is made up of temperate forests, plains, tundra, and frosty, snowbound peaks—a bit like Norway or Alaska.
The Tropical Skyrim mod by Soolie changes all of that by overhauling the game's entire environment and lighting system to make it more like something you'd expect out of Far Cry. Essentially, if Bethesda were to ever make a game set in the jungles of Elswyr, it'd look a lot like the changes offered by this climate overhaul.
Soolie's Tropical Skyrim mod is a complete overhaul of the game's climate, adding lush jungles, scorching deserts, sandy beaches, bamboo forests, fiery volcanic areas and much more. These areas also come with new animals, new lighting, and new weather fit for the environment. Additionally, the mod replaces the animals and monsters native to the areas.
If you're tired of living in a frozen wasteland and hauling ass through miles of frigid terrain and prefer direct sunlight and wetter trees, this mod will offer you a completely new experience without altering any of the quests or otherwise breaking the game.
You can pick it up on the Skyrim Nexus here.
