Along with the retrospective video that looks back on the original Mass Effect trilogy, BioWare has released an infographic poster with stats on the decisions players made when playing the final game, Mass Effect 3. So if you're the kind of person who's interested to know how many other people made the same choices as you, and you've finished the game and aren't worried about spoilers, read on.
Much like with the Walking Dead infographics provided by Telltale Games, these make it obvious that most players have some sense of a moral code by which they like to play. The majority of players – 64.5% in this case – played as Paragon, and even though that leaves 35.5% who played as Renegade, only 8% of players refused to cure the Genophage. A couple of the other races weren't as lucky as the Krogan, however. Only 27% of players chose to save the Quarians, and only 37% saved the Geth.
On a more personal basis, the most popular squad member is Liara, and the least popular is Kaidan. Kaidan is also the squad member with the lowest survival rate over the course of the third game. Garrus is far more popular, with the second-highest survival rate, and 57% of players let him win the shootout with Shepard on the Citadel.
Perhaps most surprising is the news that of those players who finished the campaign, only 18% played as the female Commander Shepard. Given the popularity of Jennifer Hale's voice work and the fact that most of the people I know seem to play as FemShep, I would have expected this percentage to be a little higher.
