Rocket League To Get Crossplatform Party Chat Later This Year

Psyonix announces the highly anticipated cross-platform party chat for later this year!

Psyonix will be adding interesting new features to their multiplayer sports title, Rocket League. The studio has confirmed that the game will be getting cross-platform party chat later in 2018.

Taking to Twitter, the team gave a release window of this year – unfortunately, this means that we won’t really know when exactly the feature will arrive, but it’s good to know that it’s in the pipeline.

Rocket League is the first game to offer crossplay between nearly all platforms (besides PS4, of which Sony has only allowed PS4 players to cross-play with PC). Recently the title has blasted past 40 million players, from here, there is no doubt that the game will continue to grow, perhaps the next generation of consoles will see crossplay integration between previous and current gen players? Who knows.
