2012's Mark of the Ninja was a complete experience, according to developers Klei Entertainment.
"Every since Mark of the Ninja was released, we’ve had numerous requests for more. The trouble is, we very intentionally built Ninja to be a complete experience, both in terms of its mechanics and narrative."
Despite this, today the company has announced on their blog that they will be releasing Mark of the Ninja: Special Edition which will include some additional content in what they called a "Criterion Collection" version of the game.
For those interested in what this exactly means, Klei Entertainment lists details on their website. The collection will include a whole new level that will act as a prequel to the events of the game, a new style of play, two new items, and developer commentary in multiple languages.
If this sounds appealing, you can check it, along with Klei's other game Don't Starve out at PAX East this weekend.
For those that already own the game, and want to get this extra content, it will be available as DLC on Xbox Live Arcade and Steam.
It will be released this summer. A price and exact release date have not yet been determined.
