The Betrayal, the second part of Assassin Creed 3's three-part DLC The Tyranny of King Washington, was announced today, according to an Ubisoft press release.
The story continues the journey of Ratonhnhaké:ton, or Connor, who travels to Boston to find an ally in his fight against the mad George Washington, who has become king of the new America.
Players will also be treated to a new ability. The power of the eagle will allow Connor to fly for short distances and hone in on targets. You can watch a trailer showcasing the feature below. I'm not sure how it adds up in the rest of the series, but considering the unrealistic depiction of this version of America, I wouldn't put it past Ubisoft to add some interesting elements.
The first part, called The Infamy took place after the events of the main story. Our hero awakens from a dream to find that despite his best efforts to save America, a tyrant called George Washington has taken control.
The DLC will be available tomorrow, March 20. Players can buy a pack of all three parts for 2400 Microsoft Points on Xbox LIVE or $29.99 on the PlayStation Network and PC. Each episode is also available separately for 800 Microsoft points or $9.99.
The third part, called The Redemption will be the final installment of the series, and will be released on April 23 for Xbox 360 and April 24 for the PlayStation Network.
