Upcoming post-apocalyptic title The Last of Us, will have a campaign that spans 12-16 hours, according to a video interview with Naughty Dog.
""We're definitely looking at more than 12 hours; maybe 12 to 16 right now is what we're looking at," Naughty Dog community strategist Arne Meyer said. "It really depends on how you play. You can play a little bit slower if you try to approach situations stealthy. If you really wanna explore the environment and scavenge, that's going to add more time, too."
The developer also spoke about the future of the game's DLC, mentioning that there will be no single-player content, instead focusing on multiplayer. There is no word yet on what that entails.
This is after an announcement that the game's campaign will be the longest Naughty Dog has ever made, which contributed to a delay pushing the release to June.
“The Last of Us is an ambitious project," said Creative Director Neil Druckmann. "In many ways it may be Naughty Dog's most ambitious project to date – brand new universe and cast of characters, brand new tech, brand new genre, not to mention it's easily the longest campaign Naughty Dog has ever made.”
Last of Us will be released on June 14 exclusively on the PlayStation 3. If you want a sneak peek, a demo will be released along with God of War: Ascension.
