Kingdom Hearts is getting a remake in high definition that includes both Kingdom Hearts Final Mix and Re: Chain of Memories, with improved graphics and trophy support for the PlayStation 3. The game also offers new character models for Sora and his friends from Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance.
Additionally, it is also set to contain remastered scenes from 358/2 Days in its Theater Mode. Unfortunately, that portion of the game will not be playable.
In any case, gameplay footage from the game has surfaced on the web, courtesy of gamers in Japan and Korea who've managed to pick up the demo few days early. The footage shows the characters running around the starter island and they appear to have magical spells, which are presumably in the demo for the sake of showcasing the game's features to players early on. Watch it below.
Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX will be out this fall in North America and Europe. It's out this week in Japan.
P.S. Don't ask us why the names are so weird.
