It seems like Sony has been dominating Japan with their beefed up console, the PS4 Pro. According to sales charts released by Media Create, the PS4 Pro has now sold over 500,000 units in Japan.
While 500,00 units for the ‘4K’ may not seem like a lot, it’s a considerable amount compared to the Xbox One X which since its recent launch only sold 1,344 Xbox One X units.
‘Microsoft’s latest console the Xbox One X, was completely sold out in Japan even before it’s launch – unfortunately, in this context, it wasn’t a good thing.’
In total, the PS4 pro has sold a total of 511,255 units and this milestone was achieved in just over a year since the console was launched late last year. That being said, sale should jump considering we are right in the thick of the Holiday season. Could we see the PS4 Pro hit 555,000 by the end of 2017? Possibly!
In other Sony news, the entertainment company recently released a credit card which provides gamers with exclusive benefits such as discounts on Sony products as well as a point system to spend on games. Sign up and you’ll receive 50$ credit, right off the bat.
‘Sony has teamed up with Capital One to introduced a new method of payment for the PlayStation store: The Sony Credit card. The idea behind the card is to essentially offer gamers rewards program for buying digital sony products, physical sony equipment and paying cellphone bills
When you use the card you earn points, 100 points is the equivalent to 1$, which you can use to buy more Sony products.’
