Insomniac Games is currently in the process of sharing “infographics” on each of the playable characters in upcoming Fuse: Dalton, Izzy, Jacob, and Naya. These infographics are a little sillier than the character trailers Insomniac has released for each of them, and reflect the humour that is present throughout the studio's games. Those who worry the switch from Overstrike to Fuse has made the game all boring and serious, maybe this will give you hope.
The first infographic is for Dalton, the reluctant leader of the team. In fact, “reluctant leadership” is listed as one of his skills, along with a little graphic of somebody with a flag being pushed up a slope. His other skills include “brute force” and “durability”, which sound much more useful.
For some reason, the infographic features a close-up picture of a tattoo Dalton apparently has on his left arm of a scary demonic face, along with the question “What is his tattoo? El Diablo? Self expression? A drunken mistake?” Even more bizarrely, Insomniac has included a “relationship matrix” for Dalton that seems to show that the higher a girl's “insanity”, the higher his affection. This is demonstrated by a single point on the graph that represents Meilin Mao, the woman from Dalton's past who appears in his character trailer.
More usefully, there's a breakdown of Dalton's fuse weapon, the Magshield. Featuring an “ergonomic design for carpal tunnel relief”, the Magshield produces a 6.8x10ft shield that can block bullets and grenades but not – unfortunately – “hurtful blog comments”.
Who'll be playing as Dalton when Fuse launches for PS3 and 360 on April 30?
