If you've visited any gaming website (or heck, even Twitter) you've been subject to a lot of fanboys and fangirls salivating over the thought that Sony might announce their new console tonight. With that being first and foremost on every news-savvy gamers' mind, it seems like an odd time to announce a brand new game, or to leak it's teaser trailer the day before, but who knows what goes through those guys' minds?
Whatever the reason, Square Enix did take today to officially announce Murdered: Soul Suspect for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. We only know that you will play detective to your own murder and that it doesn't appear it will be released on next-gen consoles. Square Enix has, however, pegged the release date for early 2014. It could be that Square Enix plans to ride the wave of the "last good/big games of a console generation" but that can be a hard wave to ride (though Nintendo did it very successfully with The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword). Only time will tell if this game is one to look forward to or not.
