Too much stuff was talked about at the Nintendo Direct stream today! I don’t have time to write anything funny in the preamble! There’s too much news to cover!:
- Mario and Luigi: Dream Team!
The Mario and Luigi games are the best! They’re legitimately excellent RPG experiences in their own right that just happen to star well known Nintendo characters!
- Animal Crossing: New Leaf Announced for 3DS
You’ll have a smaller loan so you can pay off your first house house quicker and for once you won’t just customise the interior, you’ll be able to shape the outside as well.
There’s also a separate area for character homes that’s shared during online play!
- Lego City Undercover comes out March 18th on Wii U
And there’s an entirely different gameplay experience for the version on the 3DS. The footage they showed of it looked really unpolished and there was a problem with an animation! Maybe avoid that one it!
- Harmonkight by Pokemon Developer Gamefreak announced for the eshop
It’s a Rhythm Game where your character walks to the right of the screen and you jump or attack depending what’s in from of you. Your actions line up with the music. One of the tracks they showed was a theme from Pokémon, which seemed like it was swinging to the crowd a little too much. It’s out March 28th
- They Want To Pretend “Kersploosh” Is A Good Name For A Video Game
Another eShop game. In it you’re a stone falling down a well. You can choose what kind of stone you are and what kind of well you’re falling down. While you’re doing so you try and stop yourself from hitting obstacles like doughnuts. Sure.
Unconfirmed if anyone at Nintendo has ever seen the show Archer
- Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis On The Move
Puzzle game similar in style to the rest of the series. Another eShop Release.
- Dillon's Rolling Western "The Last Ranger"
Follow up to the previous game!
- March 19th release date for Monster Hunter on 3ds and Wii U
There’s also cross platform play that will, assuming you’ve got two versions, let you transfer your progress across, as well as letting you play with characters on any version!
- Need For Speed: Most Wanted U announced!
It’ll incorporate Miiverse into the game and will support off-tv control!
- Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D on 3DS
The Wii U game is being remade with 3D in mind!

That’s far too much stuff and that’s not even everything that was announced because it was mostly sales and they’re putting together and some slight date specification, but all of that’s really cool stuff!
Save something for E3, yeah, guys?
