Slender: The Arrival Priced and Dated For Release

February 11, 2013 by Ian Miles Cheong

Be sure to stock up on some adult diapers.

Slender: The Arrival

Slender: The Arrival is a horror game that's built upon the Slenderman mythos, made popular on the SomethingAwful forums years ago and through the Marble Hornets web series. The mythos spawned a game called Slender: The Eight Pages, in which players walk through the dark in search of notes while attempting to elude the Slenderman.

Slender: The Arrival is the official remake of The Eight Pages, and it's set for release on March 26. It's co-developed by the original game creator and Blue Isle Studios, who have teamed up with the writers of Marble Hornets. The developers at Blue Isle Studios are offering a half-off discount for pre-orders of the game—pricing it at a meager $5. Grab it here.

Those who pre-order the game will also gain instant, and full access to the game's closed beta, where you can help the developers iron out the tweaks in the game before its release, and experience Slender: The Arrival before everyone else.

The studio has released an 11-minute long gameplay video accompanying the announcement of the game's pre-order. It's got actual production values and looks a whole lot better than the original game. Whereas the original Slender just had a stick figure-like man gliding in the dark, the new Slenderman looks infinitely more unsettling, so you'll want to avoid him as much as possible.

Check it out below:

As an expanded version of the original game, players can expect to experience more levels, and more content, and a larger laundry bill for all the soiled underwear.
