Destiny 2’s Latest Hotfix Addresses Issues From Previous Update

November 6, 2017 by Jordan Coetsee

Today’s hotfix should address issues of ‘stuttering’.

With modern gaming, updates are almost as essential as milk in coffee (Black coffee is gross.) but quite often, updates can open up a whole new can of worms and introduce even more issues, like the case of last week’s patch in Bungie’s Destiny 2.

The problems solved by last week’s patch included clan rosters not showing properly as well as some users having a decrease in performance, but now fans are reporting stuttering issues, or ‘hitching’. Bungie is aware of the situation and tweeted that today’s hotfix should address the issues.

Tomorrow (11/6) Destiny 2 PC will receive Hotfix 1.0.6.2 to address “hitching” issues introduced in Hotfix 1.0.6.1: https://t.co/Ocy0lEVMfq

In other Destiny 2 news, the game’s player count has been steadily dropping since it’s launch. The latest statistics revealing that over 2 million people have stopped regularly playing the title.

‘Destiny 2 launched to critical acclaim a couple weeks back, promising fans everything they wanted from Destiny 1 and all its expansion back from the get-go. While during the first weeks the title had seemingly nothing slowing down the hype train, peaking at a total of 3.5 million concurrent players on September 17. Since then in just the last 30 days Destiny 2’s player base has plummeted by over 2 million users, with over 400,000 lost in the last two days.’

Destiny 2 is out now for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
