Sega may be working on Sonic Adventure 3, Nintendo Life reports. The title is described as a "working title" of their next Sonic the Hedgehog game, so it may not be the game's final name when it does get formally announced.
The report surfaced from a tipster said to be close to the source, who informed GoNintendo of the game's development.
Sonic Adventure 3 is described as a sequel to the classic Dreamcast titles, with a focus on 3D instead of 2D. Further details are expected to emerge as Sega gears up for a proper announcement of the project.
The earlier title in the series, Sonic Adventure 2, is currently available on Steam, XBLA and PSN, as a digital download. The game put players in control of either Sonic or Shadow the Hedgehog, and played with the same basic principles in the Sonic series of games. However, the game plays much more like a Ratchet & Clank game than your typical Sonic.
