Eko Software and Bigben Interactive’s latest sports release, Rugby 18, just on Friday. Alongside the game’s launch, the studio also revealed a trailer for the title.
The trailer depicts loads of action sequences from the game, you’ll see the Rubgy ruck in action, throw-offs, tackles and more. The trailer also offers a brief glimpse into the teams you’ll be able to play as.
The game features 65 official teams, including a few national teams, as well as big leagues, check them out below:
– National teams: Australia (Wallabies), England, France, Scotland, Wales, Italia, South Africa (Springboks), New Zealand (All Blacks), Fiji
– Championships and their teams: TOP 14, PRO D2, PRO14, Aviva Premiership Rugby.
Eko Software promises “innovative gameplay that faithfully recreates every situation in the game”, and a Career Mode “ideal for leading your favorite club to the top of the rankings”.
As of right now it seems that the game isn’t performing as well as the Studio would have hoped, reviews on Steam for the PC version and Metacritic for PS4 have both reached a consensus on issues, stating that the game is more of a foundation than a fully-fledged title. While the game does provide a good representation of the sport, it doesn’t do it in a way that is necessarily fun.
