Are you playing Call of Duty: Black Ops 2's Revolution now but you found yourself having a hard time in the expansion's four new maps? If so, allow Treyarch themselves to lend you a hand.
In the videos below (courtesy of GameTrailers), game director David "Vahn" Vonderhaar talk about the "bullet points" to help you acclimate to the new maps as quick as possible. Fortunately, each map is represented in one video, so if you're having trouble with a specific map's layout, you can just jump on that video immediately for tips.
Grind
In Grind, Vonderhaar recommends that players use Assault Rifles and LMGs. Even if the actual map isn't that big, its straight pathways lend itself well to long encounters that an SMG might have trouble hitting.
Downhill
For Downhll, Vahn suggest using the side paths in objective-based modes. Also, he mentions that players should keep an eye out for the Gondola since being hit by it means you're lift pizza.
Mirage
When playing Mirage in Domination, Vahn suggests going after the enemy's flag instead of trying to cap B as is the norm. It's because the B flag is in a very exposed area that's surrounded by cover and ledges that enemies can use to stalk their prey.
Hydro
Last but not least is Hydro. As the name implies, water is a very big component in this level. Vahn points out that Hydro's center is where all the action happens, so make sure to use your flashbangs and concussion grades often. From what I've seen, it might be similar to Raid where the actual level isn't small, but there's always a clusterfuck happening in the center between the two spawn points.
For those who picked up Revolution for the new zombies content, Treyarch's Jimmy Zielinski also gives us a few pointers of his own.
Black Ops 2's Revolution map pack is already out on the Xbox 360, and it's expected to hit the PC and PS3 sometime next month.
