Another week, another handheld that no one has ever heard of, yet which many should take a serious look at. And yes, this latest one up for consideration runs Android, like so many these days. So what makes the awkwardly titled JXD S7300 HD Gamepad2 so noteworthy?
Well, it looks like the Wii U's GamePad for starters. Actually, it's slightly superior in some ways, like the dual analogue nubs. As for what runs the shows, you have the latest version of Android, 4.1, aka Jelly Bean.
Though the key selling point, aside from being able to play all the Android games out there, is how it comes with a ton of emulators pre-loaded, like those for the SNES, Genesis, Neo Geo, PlayStation, and N64. What, no NES or Game Boy? No worries; you can find plenty in the Google Play store.
According to Kotaku, depending on the bundle, the JXD S7300 HD Gamepad2 ranges between $165-190, which is an excellent deal, given its capabilities. Though the build quality is indeed a question.
Below is a video that they posted as well, showing off Super Mario 64. The only real red flat is how the interface is less than pretty, plus it seems somewhat laggy. Though it could be just the video quality.
