Crytek and EA have released a new trailer of Crysis 3 to show off the game’s multiplayer modes—Crash Site, and Hunter Mode. Like the other trailers for the game, it’s highly stylized and shows what the game will be like online. These mode exist in addition to the typical deathmatch and team deathmatch playlists.
In Crash Site mode, two teams of players (numbering 12 on the console and 16 on the PC) will battle for the control of various crash sites. The mode can be best described as Crysis’ take on Black Ops 2’s Headquarters mode.
Hunter Mode is unique to Crysis 3, and puts a squad of Cell troopers against a couple of hunters in heavily upgraded nanosuits. Equipped with super-strength, powerful weaponry, and the ability to go invisible, the hunters have the edge against their opponents, who have to stick together and do all they can to survive the onslaught. It’s not unlike the movie Predator, with a nanosuited hunter instead of a hideous alien.
Crysis 3 will be out on February 19, 2013 for the PC (the requirements of which you can read here), Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
