Want to know a little bit more about BioShock Infinite before its March release date? You soon can as Irrational Games has announced that they'll be releasing a prequel of the game but it will be a "novella."
Titled BioShock Infinite: Mind in Revolt, it will be released as an e-book for the Kindle on February 12 for $2.99. Those who pre-order the game through Amazon will get it for free.
The 40-page story takes readers to the city in the early 1900s, just a few years prior to Infinite's 1912 setting. It will highlight some of the key factions and people who inhabit Columbia and how it came to be.
BioShock's Infinite's writer, Joe Fielder states, "It’s a time period when the leader of the Vox Populi — the rebel faction inside Columbia — has been captured by the Founders — the group that not only rules the city of Columbia but worships America's founding fathers like they're gods."
Additionally, Fielder reveals that the prequel will play out as a collection of private journal entries and transcripts of interviews. He also adds that it was punk rock history book "Please Kill Me" that insipired him to approach the e-book prequel this way.
So, for those interested in knowing a little more about Columbia before the game hits, snag BioShock Infinite: Mind in Revolt to read up on a little bit of BioShock Infinite's history.
BioShock Infinite will be out on March 26 for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
