2D Sandbox Platformer Crazy Dreamz: MagiCats Edition Makes Coding A Cinch

Design-it-yourself sandbox game Crazy Dreamz: MagiCats Edition is one French indie development team’s vision for making coding accessible to all.

In it, players become a cat wizard who just so happens to be a coding master. Your objective is simple: create unique levels using the game’s coding interface. There’s freedom to make levels puzzling, difficult or hilarious, and by using the in-built visual scripts, you can customise enemy behaviour however you like. Apart from making your own 2D game, Crazy Dreams: MagiCats Edition also lets you duke it out with monsters in player-generated arenas.

Through the game’s simple yet powerful interface, Dreamz Studio founder Thibault Louis-Lucas is keen to change the way we look at programming as a whole:
