The expansion pack for Dragon’s Dogma is getting a North American and European release, Capcom has confirmed. The publisher today announced that Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen will be released on April 26 for $29.99 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It will be available at both retail outlets and online, through PSN and Xbox Live.
The announcement comes with a host of screenshots depicting some of the game’s new content, and two gameplay videos.
Much of the game takes place on Bitterback Isle, apart from the mainland of Gransys, in which the game’s original campaign takes place. The isle is home to an underground labyrinth with terrifying new monsters who guard an ancient treasure.
Capcom has confirmed that players who own the original game will be able to transfer their characters for the new content, which also provides access to new high-level skills and equipment. In addition to buying the expansion, pre-existing characters will receive 100,000 rift crystals, unlimited Ferrystones, and a DLC called the Gransys Armor Pack, which includes six costumes.
