A brand new trailer of the latest saga in Final Fantasy XIII is out, showcasing Lightning as the main character in the upcoming game, Lightning Returns.
Running at 2:36 in length, the newly released trailer is an extended version of the one we saw before, and shows off much more of the new setting in which Lightning finds herself. The trailer goes on to chronicle the city of Luxerion, a city of faith, and the one in which the game is set.
Slated for release on both the Xbox 360 and the PS3, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is the third title in the trilogy of games which began with the release of Final Fantasy XIII. It’s set hundreds of years after the events of the second game and sees players assuming the role of Lightning, who served as the protagonist in the first game.
The release of the new trailer is accompanied by three pieces of art, two of which depict Lightning in a couple of new wearable outfits, and the gothic lolita-styled character named Lumina. Check them out below. The details of her new outfit system were revealed in a Famitsu article yesterday.
