Good for you PlayStation 3 fans. Someone, somewhere, isn't completely forgetting about you. The previously announced PS3-exclusive DLC for Far Cry 3 is on its way. Sony revealed the release date in yesterday's PlayStation Blogcast, also discussing a little of what the fans should expect from the campaign. Encompassing the final moments of the co-op mode, the content will be called High Tide and feature two chapters entitled Jailbreak and Redemption, which serve as an epilogue for the multiplayer story. It will be available for download starting January 15 and will come at no cost to the player.
As a PC player of Far Cry 3 I'm conflicted about this DLC. On one hand, I'm jealous of the exclusive content. On the other, I have no interest in the multiplayer. The side missions didn't really compell me either, outside of getting all the upgrades for my items. Hunter and gatherer though I may be, I lost all interest in completing the game 100% once I finished the main quest. If they add new animals (DINOSAUR ISLAND), plants, items to craft, and missions based around them accordingly, I can see myself taking interest. Beyond that I'm not sure. How about you?
