Following a leak from UK retailers, Treyarch has confirmed the release date and new content for the upcoming Revolution, the first DLC to arrive for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. Promising "one of the most robust and diverse DLC offerings in Call of Duty history", this pack brings with it a new Zombies mode and map, four brand new multiplayer maps (Hydro, Downhill, Grind, and Mirage), and an exclusive multiplayer weapon, the Peacekeeper SMG. You can see some of this new content showcased in the footage above.
Here's the full description of the maps that come packed with the expansion.
• Hydro–This large map allows you to use the dam and water to your advantage to block paths and stop enemies.
• Downhill–A medium-sized map based in the French Alps complete with snow, chair lifts, and a strategically placed lodge.

• Grind–Set within the locale of the Venice, California boardwalk, this small skate park map is sure to deliver fast and frenetic Call of Duty action.

• Mirage–This Gobi Desert multiplayer map utilises sand dunes to provide different levels of elevation and a sanctuary in the centre as a natural chokepoint.
The expansion will arrive first on Xbox 360 on January 29, with PC and PS3 to follow on February 28 (no word yet on Wii U). It will cost 1200 Microsoft Points and will be included in the season pass.
