Eerie Sci-Fi ‘Planet of The Eyes’ Prepares to Launch on Consoles

August 29, 2017 by Katrina Filippidis

Limbo meets space.

Immersive, drenched in narrative, and built upon a bedrock of mysterious puzzles, Planet of The Eyes is absolutely ready to weird you out.

Developer Cococucumber invites players to go on an atmospheric journey across an unknown planet, where audio logs are the only guide. In charge of a solitary robot, players must overcome tricky platforming sections that channel the difficulty of Limbo, and yes, that includes horrific death sequences. The console release trailer (see below) shows off the popping retro visuals plus some of the environmental threats out to get you.

Since its debut in 2015, Planet of The Eyes has picked up multiple awards including finalist for best indie game at the Canadian Videogame Awards.

Planet of The Eyes is arriving on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this September 12. The price of admission will be $9.99 USD. If you’re more of a desktop gamer, you can also purchase it through Steam or the Humble Store.
