Ninja Theory's Devil May Cry reboot is but a mere 10 days away from release and that means we're going to get bombarded with trailers soon. Capcom has fired its opening salvo by releasing a new CGI trailer for DmC.
In it, we see our new-look protagonist Dante take to the streets and conduct his business in a bank. Dante in a bank? Yeah, it's not as cut-and-dry as you might think. Once in the bank, Dante unleashes hell on everyone and everything he sees. I think it's best if you just see the footage for yourself.
We even get to see him transform into his "devil" mode. Although, to be honest, I'm getting fed up hearing Dante keep saying "my name is Dante" or other similar phrases. Yes, we get it…you're Dante, you smoke, you're full of angst and you're a badass.
In other DmC news, game director Hideaki Itsuno reveals that the entry point for DmC is "very low" to attract new players to the series reboot. However, he also states that this doesn't mean the game won't stick to its roots.
DmC is set for release in January 15 for the PS3 and Xbox 360, with the PC version to follow after. Will DmC be 2013's first big game? Seeing what happened to Resident Evil 6, I'd say Capcom is hoping it is.
