The makers of The Witcher and its sequel, CD Projekt RED, have announced plans today to release the first ever trailer for their upcoming game, Cyberpunk 2077.
The announcement was made by PR guy Tom Ohle over his Twitter account today, who stated that the trailer would be released "next weekish".
Set in the not-too-distant future, Cyberpunk 2077 is a classic role-playing game in the same vein as The Witcher and its spiritual predecessors like Fallout and Wasteland.
Judging from the pre-release concept art as well as the Cyberpunk 2020 setting by Mike Pondsmith, the game looks to sport a highly stylized 80s-themed retrofuturistic setting that follows a vast socio-economic collapse and a period of martial law, when the United States government turns towards a few megacorporations to survive, giving them free reign to operate as they will.
Although we don't know what roles the players will take on in the upcoming game, you can at least expect to encounter various hackers, rebels, and corporate agents.
Also expect at least one barely clad lady to grace the trailer when it drops next week.
Thanks VG247.
