Psyonix has confirmed that the Switch version of Rocket League will be receiving cars themed off iconic characters in Nintendo’s history.
Making the announcement via YouTube, players will be able to select either ‘Mario NSR’, ‘Luigi NSR’ or ‘Samus Gunship’.
‘Rocket League is coming to Nintendo Switch for Holiday 2017! We’re excited to announce that ‘Mario NSR,’ ‘Luigi NSR,’ and ‘Samus’ Gunship’ are all coming to this version of Rocket League as FREE unlockable Battle-Cars at launch! Along with the new vehicles, Rocket League on Nintendo Switch will have exclusive customization items. ‘
Of course, the cars will be exclusive to the Switch Console and when viewed from other consoles the cars will appear as either Octane (for Mario/Luigi) or Breakout (for Samus) – so don’t expect to be hopping around as Mario NSR or running away as Luigi NSR on the PS4.
For now, it’s only those three cars, but perhaps in the future, we may see other Nintendo vehicles? Star Fox NSR would be dope!
