SEGA has released another trailer for Gearbox's Aliens: Colonial Marines and while the video is light on gameplay, it does reveal some of the cast and the dangers they must face.
This danger is, of course, the Xenomorphs. However, they do have a little advantage going in. In the trailer, it reveals that the Marines know what the threat are. This is a stark contrast to the Alien movies where the protagonists didn't know who or what was killing of their mates.
As shown in the video, Colonial Marines will take place within the Aliens cannon. So expect the Sulaco, LV-426 and the rest of the lore to be mentioned extensively throughout the game. Will Ripley herself make an appearance? I honestly doubt it, but I'd wager a guess she will be alluded to a lot.
Can Gearbox pull of the same magic it had for Borderlands 2 for Aliens: Colonial Marines? We honestly can't say for sure. But based on the trailers we've seen so far, they're on the right track to make this a memorable ride for Aliens fans.
Aliens: Colonial Marines is set for a February 12, 2013 release for the PC, Xbox 360, PS3 and the Wii U.
