A new video showcasing a side quest for Assassin’s Creed Origins has made its way online. The gameplay is complimented with developer voiceover, giving viewers a better insight as to what will come out to the market later this year.
There are already a few notable details that have been unleashed to the public when it comes to Assassin’s Creed Origins. The video game is set to act as a prequel to the long-running and beloved video game franchise of Ubisoft’s where players will take on the role of Bayek, a Medjay set in Ptolemaic Egypt.
The video game, much like past Assassin’s Creed installments, will be open world allowing players to freely roam the game world completing objectives and missions. Assassin’s Creed Origins will have plenty of side quests available as well, one of the side quests can be viewed within the the new gameplay footage.
Within this side quest, players are tasked with finding thieves who stole notes from a cartographer. As you make your way through the game world and discover the thieves, you can take them down, which may be a bit different than what past followers of Assassin’s Creed may be familiar with.
Instead of the counter-focused attacks, the video game will have players really focus on their environment as it can come into play during combat.
If you were unsuccessful when it comes to taking down the thieves, this open-world environment world may offer a new opportunity to find the thieves as your progress the narrative normally, though how well that will work remains to be seen.
As it stands right now, Assassin’s Creed Origins is set to launch on the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One platforms this October 27, 2017. For now, take a look at the new gameplay footage shown off at the very top of this post, along with the game trailer and gallery.
