LittleBigPlanet Karting is Half Price in the EU PlayStation Store

December 17, 2012 by Jordan Erica Webber

The ninth of Sony’s “12 Deals of Christmas” is a generous one

Sony has revealed its ninth deal for the “12 Deals of Christmas” offer running in the EU PlayStation Store: LittleBigPlanet Karting.

Available until 11:59pm tomorrow (the 18th of December), this latest offer allows EU PS3 owners to buy a copy of LittleBigPlanet Karting for 50% of its original price. Anyone with access to the EU PlayStation Store will be able to buy their digital copy for £19.99/€24.99 (down from £39.99/€49.99, but PlayStation Plus members will get a further discount of 10% to bring the price down to £17.99/€22.49.

LittleBigPlanet Karting – from United Front Games, the creators of ModNation Racers, in conjunction with Media Molecule – is yet another karting game that builds off the success of Mario Kart, but with a LittleBigPlanet twist brought in with user-generated content. Like in LittleBigPlanet, players can create their own content and levels. Here, this means creating your own Sackboys, karts, and even tracks, which you can then share online.

LittleBigPlanet Karting joins previous deals like yesterday's Need for Speed Most Wanted for £23.99/€29.99 down from £59.99/€69.99, and less impressive offers like deal 2, which cut Battlefield 3 from £59.99/€69.99 to £29.99/€39.99. The deals seem to have improved since then, however, so we can hope for some real savings as it gets closer to Christmas.
