Another weekend is almost upon us and that means another multiplayer challenge for Mass Effect 3. For this weekend, BioWare announced Operation: Alamo, which, like the previous challenges, isn't that hard to pull off.
The official event description reads, "The Reapers are taking advantage of our forces being spread thin and are making a push for Menae. Alliance Intelligence predicts that the Reapers are luring us into committing large-scale defenses to the moon that they will wipe out. Our counter-strategy is to insert small, stealthy units to conduct disruptive offensives and hold the firebase during their hopefully weakened attacks."
In gaming terms, this means players must earn the "Survive 5 Waves" medal on the Firebase Condor map. This can be done on any difficulty and extraction isn't even required.
For their trouble, players will net a Commendation Pack once the challenge has ceased. Operation: Alamo will from December 14 up to December 16. As always, don't forget to turn the player feedback on in the options in order to take part in the challenge.
While BioWare's support for Mass Effect 3's multiplayer is commendable, let's hope next year brings in a host of more engaging and interesting challenges.
