Video Games Live is a concert series that has been traveling across the globe, to celebrate the world of video game music, for the past six years. But for the first time ever, it's making a visit to the United Arab Emirates.
Video Games Live themselves are claiming that it's the very first video game concert to appear in the Middle East, which doesn't sound like much of an exaggeration.
The event is being sponsored by McLaren Automotive, Bentley Motors, Red Bull, Sony, and Microsoft. VGL also states that they have signed a five year deal to perform throughout the Middle East.
For the uninitiated, Video Games Live is the brainchild of game composers Tommy Tallarico and Jack Wall. Their combined list of credits include Another World, Prince of Persona, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, Splinter Cell, Jade Empire, and Mass Effect, to name a few.
VGL utilizes a full piece orchestra to breath new life into the sounds of both classic and contemporary games, and is designed to promote the art of video game music.
