NIS America has just revealed the final launch date of Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory. The publisher provided a target window earlier this year, and the exact day falls in line with their original projections.
The game is due March 12 of next year in North America for the PlayStation 3, as well as March 15 for the European market. No format was specified in the press release, so it is assumed that it will be available in a physical format like the two previous installments.
Though in that case, the number of copies prodiced made might be on the low side, so anyone that's interested should save him or herself the headache and pre-order as soon as possible.
For those not familiar with the franchise, it's a role playing games that depicts the console wars, except all the game machines have been anthropomorphized as anime girls. In the latest installment, players will get the chance to go back in time and interact with old school consoles, from the 80s. Again, in the form of anime girls.
It's also worth noting that the game has a cameo appearance by Kenji Infafune, best know as the creator of Mega Man, but in the form of a special attack.
As already mentioned, the first Hyperdimension Neptunia had a very low print run and immediately became a collector's item. And much like part one, many were shocked to discover that part two, Mk2, managed to leave the confines of Japan. Copies of the follow-up, while a bit more plentiful, are still relatively scarce.
While it would be nice for NIS to publish these games on the PlayStation Network, perhaps whatever they're doing has helped to justify the publication of part three?
