While Square Enix nor IO Interactive has confirmed the Hitman HD Trilogy's existence, we now know the official cover art, release date, price and even the Premium Edition's contents, too.
Courtesy of Amazon (via NeoGAF), we get to see the game's "old-school" cover art all of the details Square Enix has oddly been mum on for the past few months.
Hitman HD Trilogy will come bundled with Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, Hitman: Contracts and Hitman: Blood Money. As the name implies, they will all be remastered in HD and seeing as we already posted the complete Achievements/Trophy list for the collection back in October, that's another new feature added to these classics as well.
Here's a look at the game's cover art for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
Aside from the cover art, the Premium Edition will also come with a special art book that showcases "never before seen reinterpretations of classic Hitman moments by top artists." You can check out what they mean in the poster below.
Amazon is listing the trilogy for a mere $39.99 and is dated for January 29, 2013 for both the Xbox 360 and PS3. I don't know about you, but three remastered Hitman games with added Achievements/Trophy support at that price? It's definitely worth checking out. If you're one of the few people who've yet to play any of the games included in the collection but you're planning on getting Hitman: Absolution, I suggest giving the trilogy a run first, as the story will ame more sense to you and you'll appreciate the gameplay refinements more, too.
Anyone picking this up come January? Which Hitman game is your favorite and how does Absolution stack up to it?
