The public launch of Steam Linux (which is currently still in beta) is just around the corner, or so it would seem, going by certain clues at least. The system requirements for certain Linux compatible games have recently been disclosed.
Joystiq reports that the 30 games listed includes standard releases as well as some Greenlight selections. And while some titles do not appear to list a specific distribution, Ubuntu is the most supported at this point, which is hardly a shocker.
Though it has been reported already by a few outlets that the requirements will not be visible on machines that are not running Linux. Then again, why would someone running Windows 8 be interested in such info? Unless Windows 8 is as bad as Gabe Newell made it out to be, of course.
