South Park: The Stick of Truth Box Art Released

December 10, 2012 by Ian Miles Cheong

The box art for the Stick of Truth shows five of the game’s main characters.

South Park: The Stick of Truth is one of our most long-awaited titles. Currently in development at premier RPG development studio Obsidian Entertainment, the game is set to be published by THQ sometime in 2013 or 2014—details on that are currently fuzzy as the release of several projects at the publisher have been pushed back for additional QA and marketing.

In any case, the upcoming game, which features writing by South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker, will have players take on the role of the "New Kid" in South Park, who must band together with the gang from the show and deal with the greatest series of threats that the town has ever faced.

Today, THQ released box artwork for the game on both its versions. The 360 version apparently sports support for the Microsoft Kinect Sensor. It features five of the game's characters—Cartman, Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Butters.

It's set for release on both the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. We'll post more details about the game as they become available in the coming weeks and months.
