Platinum Games has released two brand new videos that highlight Metal Gear Rising: Revengance. The footage is so impressive that those who have not been happy with just the thought of Platinum's involvement with the Metal Gear mythos might finally reconisder their stance on the matter.
The first features Raiden facing off against the Metal Gear Ray, something that's been shown in brief snippets in past trailers. But here we actually see how the face off plays out in actual gameplay:
And the second demonstrates some of the customization that's possible in the game:
If there's one thing the game appears to be exuding, even more so than flash and style, it's confidence. Platinum has clearly found their groove, despite some shakiness in the beginning. Joystiq reports that both sides were unsure how things would ultimately play out in the very beginning.
According to Yuji Korekado, of Kojima Productions: "the challenge for us was the worry about what kind of game would this end up being." But he and his studio are more than pleased with how the game has turned out: "We could not have done that without Platinum Games' expertise, it would not have happened… So of course, this tag team, we'd love to do it again."
As for Platinum, Atsushi Inaba stated: "From our side, it would be a waste to not do this again. We made a great game, and we'd love to do it again."
