Scraping Bottom Games is a fan of magic-centric experiences with a difference. In Fictorum, players don’t just slay enemies with typical magic attacks. Spells can be constructed on the go, bulked up with layers of runes, and adapted to suit your surroundings. You control a powerful wizard, the very last spell caster in a forbidden order of magical beings—the Fictorum. Your task is to overthrow the oppressive empire responsible for the destruction of your people, a goal which is of course much easier said than done.
Fictorum features a procedurally generated world map and choice-driven gameplay that can influence the course of your journey. Every spell can be shaped and customised to unleash maximum power upon destructible environments, which include unassuming villages and castles. There’s also the ability to relive past lives, where players can examine decision trees that led previous incarnations to their respective fates.
Fictorum launches through Steam, GOG and Game Jolt on August 9 for PC.
